Hadrian Healthcare

Cottage Contract Furnishers have worked for many nursing home groups. For Hadrian Healthcare at their 63 bed home at Garden Court, Blaydon. We measured, manufactured, supplied and fitted:

• Lined curtains with trimmed pelmets and tie backs with curtain tracks for all the bedrooms.
• Blackout lined curtains and pelmets in all the public areas.
• Voiles and Lambroquin curtains for the staircases.
• Co-ordinating throw-over bedspreads for the bedrooms.

Middlesborough Council – MIMA Art Gallery

We provided an electric, radio remote control 2195 Wintergarden System with a solar protective fabric to two levels of glazing sloping away from the floor line.

Cottage Contract Furnishers took on the responsibility of measuring and installing these blinds. We provided complete detailed drawings for our fitting team along with wiring diagrams for others to install the necessary electrical connections.

Springwell Health Centre / Southwick Health Centre

The refurbishment of two Health Centres in Sunderland saw us working with Laing O'Rourke to supply and install Silent Gliss® cubicle tracking to the treatment / consulting rooms complete with curtains and vertical blinds to all the windows.

Battlesteads Hotel, Wark

We completed a full refurbishment of the Battlesteads Hotel in 2006. For this job we measured, manufactured and fitted blackout curtains, pelmets and tie backs along with scalloped roller blinds, boxed bedspreads, padded headboards and upholstered the chairs. The bar, Lounge & Restaurant were furnished with roller blinds, curtains and decorative swags and tails to complete the look.

South Shields Beauty Salon

For the South Shields Beauty Salon we disposed of the old cubicle rails and drew a new design / layout for the South Shields College. The design was manufactured and installed by ourselves complete with curtains and Venetian blinds to the windows.

The James Cook University Hospital ( Mowlem)

We have furnished several hospitals over recent years under the governments PFI initiative and the James Cook Hospital is typical of the complete package we provide to the PFIs.

The works here were phased over a 2 year period and included supplying and fitting cubicle tracking to all bed space areas and showers using the Silent Gliss 6100 system on standard fittings. We also supplied and fitted vertical blinds to the whole hospital along with dim out case blinds to certain areas. Window curtain tracks were fitted to ward areas, and curtains were manufactured and fitted for all window and cubicle tracks.

Derwentside PCT – Headquarters

At the end of 2006, Cottage Contract Furnishers completed works to the Main Headquarters of Derwentside PCT in Durham.

For this job we supplied and fitted vertical blinds to all the offices, blackout cassetted roller blinds complete with headboxes and side channels to the boardrooms and Meeting Rooms.

In addition, we also supplied and fitted the Plisse PE10.0 electric, remote control system to the 16 skylights way above the open plan office, the blinds were installed with a single switch at a suitable point, to enable the blinds to close simultaneously when required.

Howlands Farm / Parsons Field Student Accommodation, Durham University

In 2006 Cottage Contract Furnishers completed the supply, manufacture and installation of curtains, tracks and blinds to the student accommodation residences at the above sites.

The job involved manufacturing and installing 'L' shaped window tracks and pairs of curtains to 1449 windows, along with supplying and fitting 5" vertical window blinds to the kitchen / common room areas.
