Client: Vest Construction for University of Durham
Site: Cosins Hall, University of Durham
In early 2007, Cottage Contract Furnishers completed the refurbishment of Cosins Hall, Durham.
We supplied, manufactured and fitted:
Client: Sir Robert McAlpine
Site: Newcastle College, Lifestyle Centre
In 2006, we completed work at the Lifestyle Centre – part of Newcastle College.
We supplied, manufactured and installed cubicle tracking and curtains to 106 bed spaces in 6 Beauty Training Salons. This was a challenging project as windows were staggered throughout the building. Working alongside the client with strong teamwork we achieved the balanced look required of this job.

Site: Walkergate Hospital
In 2007 Cottage Contract Furnishers completed the interior furnishings for the new Walkergate Hospital.
We supplied, manufactured and installed:
- All the cubicle curtains, bedding, shower curtains, window tracks and window curtains;
- Vertical blinds;
- Blackout cassetted case blinds in the Snoezlam, Therapy and Activity areas;
- The 4550 electric radio remote control blackout blinds in the Stimulus rooms.
Client: Projects Office, St Georges
Site: St Georges Park Hospital
In mid 2006, Cottage Contract Furnishers completed the interior furnishings to the whole of St Georges Park Hospital.
We supplied, manufactured and installed:
- Approximately 230 anti-ligature shower tracks and curtains for the shower areas and doors;
- The 6290 anti-ligature window tracks to the 394 windows;
- And hung all the curtains manufactured by ourselves;
- Vertical blinds throughout;
- All the bedding and duvet covers.
